- Log into your Gmail Account
- Go to your Gmail settings
Gmail desktop notifications not workingIf you don’t get the notifications on google chrome, it means you turned off all notifications for your chrome browser. Make sure you should check to allow all sites to show notifications on google chrome or you can add a site (https://mail.google.com) in the Allow section.
- Go to the General tab
- Enable desktop notifications for Gmail
- New Mail Notifications on
- Important Mail Notifications on
- Mail Notifications Off
Select the “New mail notifications on” to get notifications, when any new message arrives in your inbox. If you select Important Mail Notifications on, then you’ll get notifications for everything marked as important. Similarly, if you want to turn off the Gmail Desktop Notification, then select the “Mail notifications off”.
Choose the option as per your preference. After that, click on “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the screen.
